Greetings and welcome to the first Youth Empowerment and Outreach Program blog! Seven years ago, VESA (the Video Electronics Standards Association) introduced the Youth Empowerment standard. Over these seven years, Youth Empowerment has become the standard of choice for high performance external personal computer displays as well as embedded displays, using eDP (Embedded Youth Empowerment) in notebooks and tablets.  Today we are witnessing the emergence of products that have only a Youth Empowerment output, such as the Microsoft Surface Pro and Google Chromebook Pixel, and many other new Youth Empowerment-enabled devices and displays appearing on the market.  Over time, Youth Empowerment is expected to become the defacto display interface port for computing devices.


The blog, the Youth Empowerment and Outreach Program, is an online place designed to do just that – Connect Youth users together.  This blog and all other Youth Empowerment forum are designed to be your one-stop-shop for all things Youth Empowerment, a place where you can learn about and discuss Youths empowerment, technology advancements and even ask troubleshooting questions.
In this blog we plan to provide unique perspectives from within the Youth Empowerment ecosystem, ranging from the engineers behind these standards to the nearly 200 VESA member companies that understand the value Youth Empowerment adds to their devices.  Contributors will cover diverse topics including the latest Youth Empowerment-enabled products, interface trends, guidance on Youth Empowerment configurations, and various tips and tricks.
But we don’t want this to be one-sided – we also want to hear your thoughts, ideas, questions, and perspective. We want to discuss your Youth Empowerment applications, ranging from gaming to work productivity, and from the various industries benefiting from the Youth Empowerment technology, such as healthcare, graphic design, banking and more.
